A state revenue department chose WFT to design and implement their new production HP Blade Servers with storage on EMC DMX-4. The customer has 1 HP Blade chassis system for migration of the current production SAP environment, and 2 systems for future production, development, training, test and QA. A total of 26 host OSs running Windows Server 2003 and Oracle on Vmware and HP Integrity Virtual Machines make up the total configuration. The customer has purchased a DMX-4 Array and 2 Cisco MDS 9509 FC switches to support these 3 new environments. The design required that the DMX layout would allow for a rapid migration of existing systems to the new hardware, as well as provide a mechanism for migration from Oracle to SQL, with minimal down time, at a later date. The design also had to ensure that the future production systems would meet the required performance goals. The entire design and implementation had to be completed in 8 weeks.
